Of course this complete ignores the independent voter, such as myself, who has not registered with either party.

Quite impressive for Sinema that she earned more votes in a midterm than any Democrat has in a presidential year. Of course, Arizona is one of the fastest growing state which is reflected in the expanding electorate.

The data is regarding election results and has nothing to do with party registration.

Incorrect. It's by party of the candidate, not the voter's party.

On a side note - CA isn't a swing state.

What this shows to me is how much voter participation has increased with each election.

I fully expect 2020 to break more records, but as to which party will be the biggest winner is something that only be determined later.

But once it is determined after the election, I think it will be a very clear indicator of where the voters want this country to become and which direction they want it to go to get there.

I'm so sure the 2020 election will shatter records that I'll be surprised if any state returns show evidence that the voters decided to sit it out. I think the numbers will increase in all 50 states.
