Warren has got into the stupid Twitter wars with Trump. Some see that as good. I do not.

Both have done good at presenting policies in more than television talking points. Warren and Bernie have both laid out plans in far more detail than "I have a really great plan that everyone is going to love and I will present it when the time is right".

You can look at Bernie's speeches 30 or 40 years ago... he is still talking about them today.

Most others candidates ideas are blowing in the wind..

My son is a poor grad student and he has switched from Bernie to Warren.

That's fine.

But being academic has nothing to do with being poor or rich.

edit: my sister did the same as she works for some policy institution in DC. Its easy to see nuanced policies and say that is how to fix our problems.

But America will never be 'fixed' by better policy, it will be by changing how power and authority is regarded in this country. Wanting to organize society in the most efficient way does not lead away from the excessive development and wealth control that is tearing this country apart.

Too many in DC value utilitarian outcomes over kindness, and that will be our downfall. Problems in our world are deeper than poverty or war. In fact poverty and war are going down, it is the economic development and increased consumption that is leading us down this path.

And Humanitarians, policy groups, academic elites, and business leaders only want to form a statisitcally improved society even if it dooms us all.

OMG: since why do we have to push to elect a woman? I will always vote based on experience and policies I will would never, and would think others would feel the same way, vote based on gender, religion, sexual orientation or race As for Bernie and Warren together, you must really want to see the libs get beat. Look at his age first, her ability to stretch the truth and 2 candidates that are both very far left and you have the word Defeat written all over the place.

I still think Joe Biden is most likely to win the Democratic nomination, and I think he is the most electable Democrat running.

I've said this so many times here, but I stand by it. The Democrats need to rebuild the Clinton and Obama coalitions of 1992, 1996, 2008, and 2012 in order to win. That coalition includes rural white working-class voters, Sanders is better liked than Warren amongst this constituency based on this polling (I believed it before the poll).

I think a lot of this is stylistic, Sanders and Warren are similar on policy. Sanders reminds people of a Union President, Warren a college professor. Sanders won a lot of the rural states in 2016, including West Virginia by 15%, North Dakota by nearly 40%, and Maine by 29%.

Now, here is the problem for both of them. Biden's base, at least in theory, is older voters and those without a college degree. I suspect Biden will also win suburban moderates.

LOL. So supporting Warren will 'doom us all". Ok. I'm not seeing it, but whatever.

No. She is no worse than anyone else. In fact she probably means well.

But her policy driven programs that are meant to increase consumer buying power and maximize US economic interests abroad won't change the path we are going down.
