Trump will probably win. The Democrats don’t have anyone that can run effectively against him.

I voted Not Trump because I firmly (hope)
believe that Trump will screw up one time too many.

I really think people are starting to get fatigue from
all his drama , well a girl can hope.

Pretty much this.

There's a reason only governors unseat incumbent presidents, and things have to be going a lot worse than they are now economically and/or militarily for even that to happen. Trump's policies are working for the economy, just empirically. How do you spin the best labor force participation rate since the 60s as a bad thing? How do you tell 85% of the working nation that their increase in net income is a bad thing. How do you spin the stock market continually busting all time highs as a bad thing?

The economy right now is running a solid parallel to 1983-84 or 1994-95. Not far removed from recession, extended periods of malaise, and then some sort of policy enacted during the incumbent's first term made things hum right along, giving the challenger not much to harp on except negative ad hominems against the man and not the policy. And in those two earlier cases, people didn't want to jump ship, especially when the one they were on was sailing so smoothly.

To beat Trump right now, you would need to have a blue state just kicking ass in economic growth, unemployment, mood, etc...and you'd need that governor to be really popular statewide along with some national name recognition, and you'd need them to show how taking their state's fixes national, different from Trump, would make things even better. And they don't have that person with that scenario. And even if they did, with a good economy like the one we have now, it would still be a long shot.

Instead you have Kamala Harris selling a policy that plays well with people she has on her side regardless, but plays horribly with people whose vote she can't guarantee or needs to switch to her. You have Joe Biden changing his entire candidacy with the weather, time of day, bird migration patterns in Bolivia, etc. And the list goes on.

All the Dems can hope for, which is just dark and cynical, is for something awful to happen on the national scale early 2020, maybe as late as spring, that even reasonable, sober people could say yeah, that is on The Donald no doubt.

Think only 6 Democratic candidates could actually win the 2020 Presidential Election: Representative Gabbard; Representative Klobouchar; Representative Moulton; Senator Warren; Governor Bullock of Colorado; Former Vice President Biden.

I would put money down on Trump winning again. The Democrats are so split between morons like AOC, Hillary-like people like Biden and Elizabeth Warren, and is Bernie really running again??? Bernie man, just throw in the towel please. Enjoy retirement.

And obviously, Trump will be the nominee for the Republicans... I think that should be plain to see to everyone.

This whole popularization of "the squad" is not helping the Democrats/left at all.

Trump is the sole candidate with the courage to be honest. That's it. Anyone else could have done it years ago, but none had the guts to smash the PC glass and boldly confront our enemies, both internal and external, head on. No Presidency in our recent history is more well-earned than Trump's.

He'll cruise easily to victory in 2020, but we'll need his brand of unbridled honesty for at least another 20 years after that before the infection that is today's left is once again safely confined to the fringes. Unfortunately, like most other deadly plagues, it will never be completely eradicated.

These are, quite unexpectedly, the most inspiring political times we've seen in our lifetimes. Even for those of us who have seen a dozen Presidents come and go. But continued hope will require as big a surprise in 2024 as 2016's was.
So you think most people hate people with disabilities; think groping women and bragging about it is good; and most people think Make America (white) Again is good, but most people just don't have the courage to actually voice all this hatred?
Yes, that is some REAL groundbreaking.
I don't think there are that many bad people in the world. I just don't. Call me stupid if you want, but the God I believe in would not create that many people with that much hatred and that much dishonesty, until lo and behold an angel from Heaven with the courage to be honest about all of his hatred was sent down

(????)

I think there are plenty of good people out there who are not just pretending not to fear, hate, and mock others, but who ACTUALLY do not feel these horrible feelings at all.

If I am wrong, let me live the rest of my life in Forrest Gump blissfulness....PLEASE....

Warren or Biden.

Trump is too damaged.

He is a racist.

He is branded as one, and the word "racist" is hard to remove.

The only poll that matters is the one on election day 2020. This poll just shows how heavily weighted this forum is with Trumpists and probably includes Russians and other people ineligible to vote in a US election anyway.

Nah, I live in Chicago, and my family and many of my friends historically have been loyal Democrats. Even they are disgusted by the current options from the left; moronic socialists or establishment Democrats like Biden and Warren. Not a single running democrat excites a base like Trump does; that was exactly their problem in 2016, and will be their same problem in 2020.

Leftists like to think socialism is more popular than it really is. Even most Dems are against it.

The double standards on immigration under Obama and Trump also isn't winning anyone over.
