Are you saying that Jussie Smollett and his cadre voted for Trump?

I think religion, not race, is the primary driver of most Trump supporters. However, Trump has enabled and given a voice to white nationalist groups and they all support him.

I see Buttigieg as VP for Warren or Harris.
I am amazed at anyone who is so bigoted they would refer to Trump supporters as being stupid. There are stupid and bright people on both sides. This doesnt mean any party or everyone that voted a certain way is stupid. I think there is a better chance of people staying home in 2020, which is sad. I can remember the days when voting was something almost everyone felt it their duty to vote.
Will Pete be a VP candidate running with Warren? possibly but I doubt she will get the nomination.

I doubt any of the Democratic contenders count on a single Trumpette vote. For sure, not a one of them are going to court the Trumpettes at all, especially when there are such rich fields to plow in other voter groups.

So for a guy like Pete, there may be an advantage to getting out in front early on the racism issue. This would be a particularly good time to do it, considering how hot Trump has made it.

It's another one of his self-inflicted wounds; we are coming into the summer doldrums, when new big news seldom comes, so old news gets well-chewed until the temps begin to cool off. I fully expect racism will be the main topic of conversation everywhere now for the rest of the summer.

Trump himself is a full-tilt racist, and has always been one his entire adult life. Racism is his most used tool in a very small toolkit, so I fully expect him to keep using it, now that the border crisis has become a for-real crisis at last.
Thank you: can't rep you again, but I think you are someone who uses his head when responding. it is nice to be able to discuss and debate without showing hatred.

I totally disagree with you on that. I think both sides have more of their share of racists and or bigots.

anyone who calls an entire group of people stupid is bigoted. You are a left wing democrat. In fact it sounds like you are a socialist. I may not agree with you on your views but I certainly would never call you stupid. Some of your ideas I may think of as stupid, but I do not think you are stupid or ignorant for that matter. Do you realize people can disagree without calling others ignorant or stupid? I happen to be pretty open minded when it comes to social issues, not even far right for sure, but I am not racists or bigoted. I have many friends who share similar views, most all far from stupid. I guess you just can't accept that people can differ and even be friends.

Or they "have no choice" but to vote for Trump simply because he is their party's nominee, even though they disagree with what he stands for, like the poster you're responding to stated.

As for the OP, the truth hurts. SAD!

Not when you put party before country. I never forgot that poster's comment because it was such a blatant demonstration of that. I'm sure she is not the only Republican who voted for Trump for that very reason, and will vote for him again, for that very reason, even though they know he is an abhorrent being who is wholly unqualified for the job.

Ironic that Pete is a bigot... Stereotype is one of the common bigotry action... That's the only thing he can do, since he is DOA for the candidacy... Bye, Felicia....

But the VP selection rarely comes from "the pack" that is running to be the candidate, e.g. Dan Quayle, Sarah Palin, Spiro Agnew, many others.
