Looks like it's over for Pete Buttigieg. He falls right into Trump's trap and calls millions of potential voters "racist".

Seems that even being a Rhodes Scholar doesn't give one much common sense.

Pete Buttigieg Writes Off Donald Trump Supporters as ‘Committed Racists’

(Democrats will never win elections if they keep writing vast portions of the USA)

Very odd fetish they have...

Formula for this comedy clearly is this:
More education, less Trump...And vice versa, less education, more Trump.
It is fascinating

Well that portion wants to force a 1950s social order on the rest of Americans. They should expect pushback from people who don't want to live in the 1950s.

Personally, I don't think the Trumpettes are all racist or stupid. Some are, for sure, but others are surely neither.

But there's no way any of them will ever vote for any Democrat in 2020 unless Trump quits before the election.

I doubt any of the Democratic contenders count on a single Trumpette vote. For sure, not a one of them are going to court the Trumpettes at all, especially when there are such rich fields to plow in other voter groups.

So for a guy like Pete, there may be an advantage to getting out in front early on the racism issue. This would be a particularly good time to do it, considering how hot Trump has made it.

It's another one of his self-inflicted wounds; we are coming into the summer doldrums, when new big news seldom comes, so old news gets well-chewed until the temps begin to cool off. I fully expect racism will be the main topic of conversation everywhere now for the rest of the summer.

Trump himself is a full-tilt racist, and has always been one his entire adult life. Racism is his most used tool in a very small toolkit, so I fully expect him to keep using it, now that the border crisis has become a for-real crisis at last.

You (and the Breitbart headline) are being dishonest about what Buttigieg said.

He's talking about the chanters only, not your average Trump supporter who is a bit uncomfortable with racists.

Do we, as a society, want to make racism socially acceptable again?

We must not have read the same article. He said he will never get committed racists' votes, so he's not going to try. The headline above should say "Pete Buttigieg Writes Off Some Donald Trump Supporters as 'Committed Racists'." Breitbart can skew a headline just as well as CNN.

You just answered your own question. Hillary Clinton didn't call ALL Trump supporters "Deplorable", just some of them. (some = 32,000,000) Buttigieg - if you vote for Trump you are a racist.

Thanks.

The topic is a great demonstration at why the Democrat party has 0 ability to win back any parts of the USA which they have lost.

Just like Hillary, Pete is right. Donald Trump's supporters prove it is true as each additional day goes by.

All of those that voted for Trump may not be racist. EVERY RACIST however voted for Trump.
