Former Republican, now independent here. When I was a Republican, I voted for Bloomberg three times for NYC mayor. Now that I’m unaffiliated, I’m requesting a Dem ballot so I can vote for Bloomberg in the primaries.

This is unacceptable to the billionaire class and the media they own. So they push the "dangerous socialism/communism" scare tactic in order to convince people to vote for some billionaire or lackey of a billionaire instead.
Au contraire, mon frere.
  • [] Politics and Money are linked, remove one, and you end the other.
  • (Consider what would happen if 320 million 'contributors' withdrew from FICA and ceased underwriting the federal reserve note. Overnight, billionaires become zero-aires. Every dollar bill ceases to be legal tender. All entitlements, pensions, and government disbursements cease. Wuh Woh, Scooby! And in case you haven't read 12 USC Sec. 411, CONgress must keep having a deficit to authorize NEW dollar bills necessary to pay the usury outstanding. The last time the budget accidentally balanced, we had the Dot-Com Crash 1999-2000.)
  • [] Labor Unions / collective bargaining has been great for the beneficiaries, but bad for consumers stuck paying more. Who else but the customer gets stuck with the bill?
  • [] Labor rights. As long as government taxes labor, as a privilege, it cannot be a right. Endowed rights cannot be taxed. Either we ditch socialism and restore labor as an untaxed right, or we grit our teeth and bear it.
  • [] Health care is not a right when government criminalizes the unlicensed trade in it. Until that is abolished health care will be an expensive government privilege.
  • [] Socialist InSecurity is a vile scam to impose "voluntary" socialism while misleading people that it is mandatory. There is no law compelling participation, nor punishing non-participants. Yet millions are taught to "sign up" for their account and number.
“The Social Security Act does not require an individual to have a Social Security Number (SSN) to live and work within the United States, nor does it require an SSN simply for the purpose of having one...”

SOCIAL SECURITY ACT OF 1935 FULL TEXT
http://library.clerk.house.gov/refer...alSecurity.pdf
(Read the law yourself)
"One of the most enduring myths of Social Security is that a worker has a legal right to his Social Security benefits. Many workers assume that, if they pay Social Security taxes into the system, they have some sort of legal guarantee to the system's benefits. The truth is exactly the opposite. It has long been law that there is no legal right to Social Security. In two important cases, Helvering v. Davis and Flemming v. Nestor, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Social Security taxes are simply taxes and convey no property or contractual rights to Social Security benefits."

...
When I asked for a clarification, the Congressional Research Service replied that "entitlements" are synonymous with "gifts."

Gifts from the public treasury are charity - and the recipients are paupers at law.
When Congress (or whoever) wrote FICA, they were careful to use "buzz words" like "benefits" and "entitlements" to hide the fact that FICA was a "tax and bribe" program, disbursing public charity to participants.

Once you let government TAKE from one to GIVE to another, you abolish private property (which requires just compensation when taken).

From the Communist manifesto: "In this sense, the theory of the Communists may be summed up in the single sentence: Abolition of private property."

Amendment V, US Constitution 1789
... nor shall PRIVATE PROPERTY be taken for public use, without just compensation.

Since 1935, private property ownership has been abolished - or more succinctly, abandoned by the participants in FICA. As long as government can take your labor, your property and possessions and not pay JUST COMPENSATION, you do not have private property.
"PRIVATE PROPERTY - As protected from being taken for public uses, is such property as belongs absolutely to an individual, and of which he has the exclusive right of disposition. Property of a specific, fixed and tangible nature, capable of being in possession and transmitted to another, such as houses, lands, and chattels."
- - - Black's Law dictionary, sixth ed., p.1217.
The only difference is that the USA relied on stealth socialism instead of outright nationalization. Utilizing excessive taxation and regulation gave government the paramount authority. That which is not expressly permitted, mandatory, licensed, or taxed is not allowed and is forbidden.

WELCOME TO THE PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF AMERICA!

LOL, right. Romney will vote Bloomberg in a heartbeat, as well as remaining non-MAGA republicans like myself who are ready to get the Russian puppet out of office.

Trump is a RWNJ that needs to go

Sorry, PCALMike, but I don't think there is much political demand even from the middle class to get big money out of politics, stronger labor unions, having health care as a human right or higher SS benefits. I will be proven right if Trump wins reelection.

Really, for starters most voters are quite happy with their health insurance and medical care. As they see it there is no need for a drastic change by passing Medicare 4 All.

Listen, once again, most people are quite happy with their healthcare plans. If I'm wrong, Trump won't be reelected.

He is also too far right with much of the left for being opposed to the legalization of marijuana.
