Because he clearly was. Polls a year ago showed him losing to any one of several Dems.

That's why he went to such lengths to try to dig up dirt on Biden's son in Ukraine. To the extent that it got him impeached.

Surprising that I need to refresh your memory on that.

But there it is.

Depends on each state election laws which are all different. Republicans are going to sue any state which attempts do it. While they may not be able to win that easily they can tie it up in appeals which force states to hold regular in person voting election like they did in Wisconsin’s which lead to 67 people contacting the virus. https://madison.com/wsj/news/local/h...83842de39.html

Which is SO stupid of them.

It's not like Republicans don't vote by mail. In fact - Republicans usually do very well in the mail-in ballot category.

A lot of older voters are Republican AND use mail in ballots.

They should be careful what they wish for.

The election must be postponed. If we can't have the Boston marathon in September, we surely can't have a national election in November.

Anyone who disagrees with me is putting politics over the lives of American citizens.

That will never happen because it would take act of congress to do it.

You don't have to worry, the election will be on the correct day. Many are already signed up for vote-by-mail.

You may be right. If we specify that "turnout" will include mail-in ballots, then I'd agree.

I'm lucky that my precinct must be small, so not big lines, and it's been very cheering at the times of BIG turnout, like for Obama.

I suspect that even if we didn't have the Coronavirus the anger Trump produced on the left would have caused a large turnout still put Biden or any Democratic in the white house.

The difference now with the Corornavirus the GOP majority in the Senate is in trouble.
