And this is top of the usual GOP voter suppression tactics, like shutting down polling places in low income areas to force long lines, annual registration purges, and so on. They are openly anti-democracy.
I suspect the plan is to wait until last minute then file lawsuits to tie it up in court past the election.
Sure. We saw what the Repubs did in 2018 in California. There were tight races, too close to call on election night. In the days that followed and absentee/mail ballots were counted, in several places the Democrat pulled ahead and won. Repubs howled and claimed election fraud but to evidence or proof of that was ever found.
If Trump loses he will do everything in his power to delegitimize the results and will claim that Biden cheated.

They say you can't trust mailed ballots. Let's see, what comes by US Mail?
Social security cards
Federal tax refunds
Driver's licenses
Credit cards
Bank statements
... but we can't trust the US mail to deliver a ballot!
and what's get stolen in the mail? tax returns ss checks, etc
if you want vote by mail then each ballot should be signed with DL number or ss number and then the register office needs to verify every one and double check that no dual votes are cast of the shame address and voter id
but i bet you wont like any type of voter id? right?
mail in ballots are the easiest way to cheat you know it - we know it and trump knows it
so let have vote by mail as long as the above is done- oh yea it may take 2-3 months to verify even ballot is legal so trump should stat in office for a few extra months too - hehehe
