The Democrats promoted unity and racial equality at their convention, and the American public chooses to support the racist in chief because of that? This is why we can't have good things in the United States.

That's not nearly enough bounce to get him out of the ditch he's in.

He needs another 10 points at least to stand a chance of re-election. And that extra 10 points would have to be consistent, in one poll after another.

Trump looks like he's losing, so he is. Appearances count for everything this late in the game.

The fact is, Trump is losing his grip on the voters, just like Jimmy Carter lost his.

As incumbents, both lost their key support long before the election year and couldn't ever reclaim it.

Why does it show 42.6% on their website for August 24th?

Bigger question- how can a convention bounce occur before a convention?

Also, that graph only seems to go out to August 20th. I don't see anything more recent, and of course, the OP didn't bother to provide a link. What's interesting is that if you download the crosstabs, the strongly disapprove number is almost 2x that of the strongly approve. That's awful for Trump.

YouGov you say?

General Election matchup (not approval numbers)

Biden 50%
Trump 39%
Biden up +11

Pretty hard to win the Electoral College if you're down by 11.

I thought the comment about the convention was that Trump got a DNC bounce some how. But the comment was not clear.

With the poll apparently Trumpers don't even quote real polling data now. They just make up whatever sounds good.

Rasmussen Reports 51 approve 47 disapprove https://www.realclearpolitics.com/ep...oval-6179.html

National polling won't win the EC Trump has to win Florida, and Pennsylvania. Biden's polling in Ohio is showing a solid 4% lead over Trump. If Biden is able to win Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida Trump has zero chance of winning.

Wrong again loser.
Fox News gave Trump a 38% favorable rating on November 6th 2016.
