Republican media consultant Brad Todd said Friday evening, soon after a clip of Biden’s interview aired. “This is the biggest break of the year for Republicans in this campaign year.” https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/n...-down-comments
While I'm a supporter of wearing masks in public the suggestion by Biden that he would considering shutting down the country again in the event of another outbreak is a sound bite waiting to be exploited.
I'm sure the DNC is pissed. The Biden camp should have know this question might be asked and perhaps they did.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Biden camp knows the questions in advance of all interviews as well as those in the up coming debates.
However, in this interview Biden either went off script or forgot how he was supposed to answer.
As the death toll continues to mount, I doubt many people will be too upset at Mr. Biden's claim that he would 'shut the country down' if so recommended by the experts.
Of course, many realize that Mr. Biden lacks the power to shut down the country. President Trump claimed to have the power, but also claimed that he would not use it, leaving it up to the individual states.
I suppose a President could, in theory, shut down interstate flights and commerce.
Anyway, I am pleased that the Republicans believe that they have 'political gold' to harvest. Maybe it will slightly offset the various gold nuggets that have fallen into the Democrats lap in just the past month, such as wishing Ghislaine Maxwell well after she was arrested for her part in procuring young girls for that friend of Trump's, Epstein; or for Mr. Trump calling for a boycott of Goodyear tires, which employs 60,000 people in this country, including 6,000 in Ohio; or Mr. Trump's desire to vacate the payroll tax so that the Social Security fund would be exhausted by the end of 2023.

But yeah, Republicans, go with Biden's statement.
So President Trump doing the same thing Obama did on SS taxes is "gold" for the Democrats.
Man, your sides talking points just get worse and worse. Maybe Biden really is leading the party. The mindlessness is numbing.
