It wasn't a Trump rally. That's why. Remember his speech at Mount Rushmore was the same as this one, more reading from a teleprompter than not.

Oh really Doctor? How was Trump able to stand on the podium with nothing in front, or behind him for almost another half hour watching one if the greatest fireworks display ever shown, and a concert by Macchio?

Yup.
He's slowed down a lot when he sticks to the script. I noticed that after the speech, Trump didn't appear to be as pumped up as usual. The crowd did get him a little fired up, but he was slumping, bent over like an old man when he exited the stage.

I thought he looked tired out.

The President appeared at the convention every night, didn't he? I didn't watch every night so I don't know for sure but he was there more than one night. He spoke at length as he did on this final night. Over an hour.

How often and for how long has Sleepy Joe spoken? He needs a nap after fifteen minutes.

Desperate Dems looking for a glimmer of hope in the vast Dem Darkness.

How can so many media outlets consistently have the same script, talking points

Again, it was presented in a slower, calmer manner making it more easy for The Democratic Socialistic Party to follow along and it ensures a ' Liberal Paradise ' theme is consistent with the writings from the Holy Liberal Handbook.
Oh, doubling down with more of the same? Figures.

I guess that's the extent of your esteemed level of erudition. That's all I gotta know.

Great description of his habit of moving his hands and arms from side to side during a speech. Thank you, I'll have to remember that!

Trump had issues with navigating stairs in public this past Friday in NH. Many people think there is definitely something seriously wrong with his health.

he could have used his rally tone of voice.. but i think he wanted to present a sober grounded president.
I read that this kind of tone would help win the suburban women who is supposed to be a group of voters that he needs to win over... suburban women might appreciate a softer tone.

However, if you watched all week, the overall message of the convention was featuring regular people and how Trump's job as president has benefited all these people. So in other words, they spoke for Trump. If you liked them as an example, you would attribute their success to the people themselves, and also for Trump's policies allowing such a thing to happen.

I think people were wanting to hear Trump's rally voice, but perhaps this was more necessary, and also with all that is going on, perhaps the tone needed to be toned down like that. But if you listen to his words, then you would have learned a lot.
