But his attacks are usually childish, and people are getting tired of all his talk and lack of action. He can sit there and vilify Joe Biden's mental capacity all day long, but the reality is that he has done nothing to resolve the pandemic and its continuing effects on the economy, or quell the violence in our streets that has been stoked by his own fiery rhetoric. We are no closer today to going back to life as normal than we were 6 months ago--in fact, we're probably even further away from it. MAGA is a failed slogan. Life continues to get worse under this administration. Trump attacking Biden's mental fitness is a strategy that is going to fail with voters.

One, the pandemic cannot be "resolved" by one person. There were so many mistakes made from the WHO, China, Fauci, along with a massive amount of disinformation coming from competing sources. On top of that, there's no certainty of the actual number of deaths DIRECTLY attributed to Coronavirus. The US had 60 million cases of Swine Flu in 2009, but we didn't have the knee-jerk reaction that we did with the Coronavirus. No shutting of the economy, no over-reactions worldwide. Yes, they initially did shut down some schools, but even those re-opened quickly.

Two, Trump isn't attacking Biden's mental fitness. He's simply pointing out what voters can see -- Joe Biden is troubled, mentally. The next 60 days will be telling, as Biden will be forced to perform on a stage without handlers or a teleprompter.

Ok, so "resolve" may not be the best word choice, but you have to admit that Trump is a large portion of the problem. Whatever mistakes the WHO, Fauci, or others made pale in comparison to Trump killing off the pandemic response team in 2018, his lack of strategy to deal with the outbreak early on, and his frequent comments or actions that undermine his own team. All you have to do is look at the fraction of cases and deaths across the border in our northern neighbor to see how badly the United States responded. Trump is the figurehead of this country, he's the one people are looking to in a time of crisis. He bungled the response worse than I think anyone would have ever imagined.

How exactly is Joe Biden troubled mentally? Look no further than Trump if you want to see someone that is mentally troubled. He spends abnormal amounts of time obsessing over TV ratings, crowd sizes, and media coverage of him. He is a thin-skinned bully that can't take any sort of criticism, constructive or otherwise. He angrily tweets in the middle of the night when he should be sleeping and preparing himself to actually work the next day. Even people in his own administration gossip about his behaviors and abnormalities and have to gently reign him in when he tries to make rash decisions. He gets played like a fiddle by our adversaries because they know how to pull his strings to make him do what they want. I don't know how anybody can make the argument that Biden is troubled but Trump is not.

He's not being asked to think quickly on his feet. The debate is a completely different situation. There's no reading from a teleprompter. Biden's handlers are aware of his shortcomings. Biden himself is aware of his shortcomings. The pressure will be immense, because if he stumbles, he won't be able to "find" his spot on the teleprompter. He's going to have to compose himself mentally, and I'm not sure in his current state he can do just that.

I've watched several of Biden's recent speeches, including the one at noon today where he occasionally misfired. If he survives three debates without stumbling, it will be nothing short of miraculous.
Anyone else notice what is going on?

First it was "Biden has dementia." You couldn't even read a script from a teleprompter if you had that mental illness. Then they back off and change their tune to "Oh, you just wait until the debates!" What will they say after the debates? Trump is already teeing it up for them. He doesn't like the moderators selected. He wouldn't like ANY moderators they select. That statement put out by the Trump campaign just had 4 blanks for the moderators in there. Whoever they are "we wouldn't have selected those."

The Dementia Joe line of attack is failing. Just look around here at CD which has a very large conservative base. Even they are starting to back off from dementia. After the debates, that will be the last fig leaf for Trump. I shudder at the thought.

Can't wait to see Trump debate Biden. Biden even said that he'd be ok with real-time fact checking. Biden's debate training is going to have entail a lot of dealing with someone that doesn't answer questions and tells blatant lies. There's going to be a lot of accordion hands going on while Trump speaks incoherent phrases. But you know, he knows the best words.

exactly, I'm shocked his wife would go along with this. Social Services should certainly investigate Biden's campaign as elder abuse.

This site will be so much better after Trump is defeated in early November and all the Russian trolls stop posting here.

So now we know that the Russians are behind the falsehoods and lies about Biden's health. Why didn't our intel agencies tell us about this information they had on the Russians? Why do we have to wait for the media to uncover these facts?

The Russians began this narrative about Biden's mental health. The incessant threads on this issue on these City-Data forums has me thinking many posts are probably the work of Russian trolls that are part of the Putin effort to help Trump.

I don't think Biden will do that poorly against Trump because the MSM will help him by giving him the questions ahead of time. Plus they will challenge Trump more since he's the incumbent. But Trump rarely ever preps for debates as he's a natural debater as an executive. Biden often when asked the tough questions just puts a weird look or backs out if he was overwhelmed with the question. Since the MSM will help him by passing along the questions he'll be prepped before hand. The only question is how will he handle being attacked by Trump.

I don't care if your a die hard democrat but the guy should never been the nominee. I've voted for Clinton, Obama in the past but would never vote for Biden. When Obama picked Biden, we knew that it was an identity choice and strategic one but not the best choice.
