It's not. Cape Cod Todd is lying or has been lied to.

Here's the problem, though. People like Roger Stone have an audience - and if they listen to Alex Jones, they're already slightly at odds with the real world. A lot of that audience is quite well armed. And chomping at the bit to go out and show the world that they're not the overweight LARPers everybody's making fun of.

So if you install in their heads the idea that the election can only be lost through massive fraud, and that exceptional measures will be justified in righting that wrong, you're seeding the ground for political violence of the "kill the traitors" sort. The term is stochastic terrorism - no central organization, no actual call to violence, just hammer home, again and again, that violence would be justified.

It's how it started in Yugoslavia in the 1990s.

Does anybody remember the 2000 election....to his credit George w Bush (Karl Rove) had a better ground game in Florida to influence the results. In this election both parties (legally) need to be prepared. People just want an accurate vote count.

+1, exactly right. As the FBI and Homeland Security have pointed out, right wing nationalist extremism is our number one terror threat.

It's exactly the same as democrats saying mass mail in voting is without risk, and ballots coming in days after the election is perfectly legitimate.

Democrats are also telling their supporters should take to the streets if Trump wins, or if the election is contested.

The democrats are creating conditions that will likely lead to a contested election, that lacks security, or legitimacy.

Ahh it is the Left that has come out and said they will contest the results IF they don't go as they expect them to. Trump has been asked about it and he hasn't said yes or no but he is going to see what happens. If he loses fair and square the Demos expect him to seal himself into the WH and refuse to leave. How ridiculous is that. If Trump does lose and it looks like there were shady things going on we should expect him to challenge the results.

It is the Demos that we have to be watching carefully. They cannot be trusted and they will do anything it takes to win even if it is at the expense of America.

As the Nixon tattoo on his back suggests, Stone is nuts.

Trump is the one who has mused about not leaving if he loses, and setting up his followers to believe that ANY loss by him, no matter how clear, has to be invalid. He has explicitly said the only way he can lose is if Democrats cheat. That is not how it works, a fair vote can obviously end up with more people voting in ways where he loses the Electoral College this time, along with the popular vote. His lies regarding the use of mail in voting are just that - lies. There is ZERO proof of any of these claims and even when there has been voter fraud, it's been committed more often by Republicans, such as in North Carolina in 2018

Democrats have said that if there are unclear results or indication of irregularities, Biden should not concede until appropriate action is taken to resolve any open questions

How anyone can confuse those two things are beyond me
