Has it tightened up? Sure. You don't go from +26 to +1 otherwise. Polls show trends. I wouldn't say that the seat is in real jeopardy though. If some other pollsters got in there and released some data that agreed with it, or even had Espy within 4 points, I'd say maybe there's something to it.

What's weird though is if you check the other results of the poll, they are all in line with what you'd expect. 44/35/17 Rep/Dem/Ind. Trump +10. Approval numbers are positive for Trump. Approval numbers for Hyde-Smith are lower than the Governor, President and the other Senator. That's where things start to get weird. Her approval numbers are about 10 points lower than the Senator she is serving with.

Only 67% Very Conservatives said they would vote for her. Only 11% of moderates said they would vote for her, whereas 69% of moderates said they'd vote for Espy.

Do I think Espy will win? Likely not. More data points are needed. Maybe this poll will make some other pollsters hit up that state. Maybe something weird is going on. I just don't see how a Republican with a net positive approval is only up by 1 in a state like Mississippi.

Yup. MS is not going blue.

The Democrats are the very definition of panic and desperation, as the clock ticks down closer to election day.

They are realizing all of the violent riots and violent protests by their fully embraced BLM and ANTIFA groups have backfired on them, and they've lost support.

Add in their all-in push to destroy police departments, and the Democrats realize they F'ed up.

Lol, is it mean to laugh at the leftists who seriously think they have a chance in these southern states and in the general election period? Its like the pollsters are purposefully setting these poor folks up for a CRUSHING disappointment but I find it hilarious.

Espy had a chance to win when he first ran for senate in 2018. That particular mid term election, with its low turnout and with impeachment pending, was his only chance.
That was the election Doug Jones (AL-D) won. Jones will probably be replaced this time.
