Thanks for the quick replies and the link! I didn't realize Paul felt that way about Reagan's term and I can't say I don't disagree with him. Out of all the Republican candidates he was the only one who gave straight replies as to what he would do if voted into office.

No I haven't, but I'll check it out.
I'm a registered Independent and I'm not a huge fan of either Republican or Democrat candidate, so it would be nice to see a 3rd party candidate be able to have a legitimate chance in winning the presidency.
The ONLY thing I part ways with Ron Paul is that I'm pro-choice and he's pro-life. Hopefully, he wouldn't try overturn Roe vs Wade or at least leave it up to individual states.

You are in luck, from a personal perspective (and doctor who delivered 4,000 babies) Paul is pro-life...however he values the individual states rights and thats where he stands on abortion.
You should check out that site www.campaignforliberty.com and sign up. Ive been signed up for a while and dont get any spam or anything, they are trying to hit 100k users by 9/2...I think they are at about 89k now. But even if you dont sign up, the site has a blog thats updated daily with frequent news about the current candidates and political issues. Haha, it's okay. I'm actually on the Campaign for Liberty site and checking out a youtube link posted there. I enjoy watching the man speak. He doesn't beat around the bush and will call out Dem and Repubs alike.
Yep... it's a shame that he is associated with the racist writings of his newsletter. I think that ultimately ruined any chances he may have had at the time... not that those were good to begin with.
But the good news is that he has inspired many people to run for office in this election cycle, and I'm sure many more will be compelled in the next 2-4 years as well. Congress is where real change can happen, and having more individuals like Paul and Kucinich will lead to real change.
