Interesting this issue during elections isn't pounded into the ground as far as John McCain is concerned.

The Keating Five

"McCain's a wimp," Keating replied, according to the book Trust Me, by Michael Binstein and Charles Bowden. "We'll go talk to him."

I am not sure if you know what the Keating Five was all about but you should read about it in detail. McCain was actually the least guilty and was cleared. Sen. Dennis DeConcini, D-Ariz, McCain, Alan Cranston, D-Calif., and John Glenn, D-Ohio, Donald Reigle D-MI were the politicians involved. It would not be too smart for the Democrats to remind the people during a Presidential election that they were so corrupt, especially since McCain was cleared of any wrongdoing, right or wrong.
