You are comparing apples to oranges...

Basically the same thing. They don't care enough to vote.

I don't think so. This entire election has been about how poorly Trump is running the country. The D were massacres in the 2010 mid-term and the R assumed O would follow suit in 2012. Never happened because they didn't get the turnout. Why not? Because the wishy-washy R voter who didn't give a damn about Romney....stayed home.

I think this year's turnout will be a record.

Many didn't vote in 2016 because they didn't like either candidate and thought it didn't ultimately matter. They literally could not imagine a situation where a duly elected president could be so utterly unfit.

The disaster that has been the last 4 years has proved otherwise.

Significant numbers of prominent Republicans and Republican leaders are actively and very publicly supporting Biden over Trump. This is new territory.

Well, we'll know soon enough.

Yes we will.

I don't claim to know who will ultimately win. A lot can happen in 2 weeks. Obviously I hope and pray it's Biden. Trump may squeak by again but it will be just that. A squeak. IF there's a landslide, I think it'll be Biden.

I'm amazed at how quickly people seem to forget that confidence is that cocky feeling you have right before you know better

Aside from left wing media polls, what evidence do you have of this? Or, is it just your personal opinion?

Nope, you're confusing this year with 2016. That was the year where Dems and Independents not enthused for any candidate stayed home.

This elections is WAY different, and you can tell by the fact that we still have more than a week to go and we've already surpassed the entire early voter turnout of 2016.
