What is the purpose of polls on a forum that is clearly not a representative sample of the USA? And in this case, even if it were a representative sample, how is the insight of the average person helpful here?

I don't believe it will be officially called until 1-2 days after, mostly due to the delay in counting mail ballots in states like PA that cannot start counting until election day per state law, but I believe the writing will be on the wall election night for anyone that wants to see it.

What’s the point of any conversation really?

Wisconsin has the same rule. However, once they start counting the ballots they cannot stop until done. They are going to have a long night.

As in ‘16, I think it will be over by midnight on the 3rd.

Texas and Georgia might drag on but Biden will be declared before those races are fully counted anyway.

I just hope we don't have another Gore-Bush debacle. I am still angry about how that turned out!!

If Gore hadn't given in, I am convinced that the U.S. would be a very different place today.

Normally, I'd say the next day or two, but given the amount of early voter turnout, I'm thinking it's entirely possible it could be called that night.
