Yes, by 1.1%. Clinton got 2.2% of the popular vote. A 1.1% error this time results in Biden winning by 6.6%.

Sorry, I don’t have patience for this right now. I just got back from the polls, where a “tolerant” liberal referred to Trump voters as scum, and those surrounding her laughed. (I live in a very “tolerant” liberal area.)

And even a greater polling error in Obama's favor in 2012. Polling errors don't just "favor" one candidate or party, but can happen in either direction.

What makes you think they were tolerant liberals?

I'm a liberal, and I'm intolerant of all sorts of things.

I wouldn't be surprised if Trump won the EC even while losing the pop vote by 4-5%. A generic Democrat running up the score in extreme groupthink areas in LA, Chicago and NYC vs. OrangeManBad doesn't surprise anyone.

We really do need to revisit some of these comments after Biden wins..

She was being sarcastic. Liberals preach "tolerance" but very rarely ever practice it.

I'm not saying that is impossible, but it has never happened before in the history of our country. Hillary was a few thousand votes in a couple key states away from winning the EC, and she only won the popular vote by 2.2%. Had she won by 3%, she would have taken the EC. Push that to 4-5%, and it gets really unlikely.

My point, though, is that many liberals don't preach or practice tolerance. I, for one, am very intolerant of all sorts of things despite being a liberal. The liberals she encountered may have been intolerant. That isn't necessarily hypocritical.

I hear conservatives say liberals are supposedly tolerant all the time. I rarely hear my liberal friends talk about tolerance. I think this has become a conservative trope.
