Does she meet all the Michigan requirements to serve in elective office? If so, then so what?

It would be interesting if she does carry out her intentions.

The 46th Michigan state house district is located in the north east corner of Oakland County, Michigan and is comprised of the townships of Addison, Brandon, Orion, Oxford, and part of Oakland. There currently an existing Republican state house representative who is on his second of three allowed terms in the state house. Ms. Carone would have to successfully challenge the incumbent in the primary or attempt to get elected as an independent. She would need to obtain residency in the district and conform to the state requirements with regards to filing her candidacy, submitting voter petition forms for conformance to the law, and then submitting enough signatures to get on the primary ballot, or, if she runs independently, on the general ballot.

The district is very white and very Republican. It's also very Christian, ranging from mainstream Baptist to fundamentalist holy roller. It would be quite the sight to see a former exotic dancer from Downriver buttonholing a local Baptist family outside the Meijer's north of downtown Oxford, asking them to sign her petition to allow her to be their candidate in the Michigan state house.

She will fit right into today's Republican party. The sane members are leaving or retiring and the rest have embraced the crazy.

Plenty of nuts have run for office. Once in a while, they have even won.

But I'm betting she won't be one of the winners.

Only win if it’s a deep Red district like Greene in Georgia.

I wonder how she'll turn her time as a stripper into a campaign slogan.
