Hillary Clinton. No. She's part of the problem. She has criticized Obama excessively and has more recently used the race card again. She's also not talented enough.

Gov. Kathleen Sebelius (Kansas). Don't know much about her, but she appears at first glance to be highly regarded. She's also NEW and in my book, this is important. Good choice.

Sen. Jim Webb (Virginia). Don't know much about. What's the big deal?

Sen. John Edwards (North Carolina). No. I would be highly disappointed if Obama chose Edwards and I don't know why people keep throwing him out there. He would severely hurt the ticket and was an incredibly weak Democratic candidate. Didn't help Kerry and he damn sure won't help Obama.

Gov. Bill Richardson (New Mexico). Now here is a man who had the nerve to endorse Obama when it wasn't fashionable to do so. He is an independent thinker and obviously very talented. Good choice.

Gen. Wesley Clark (RET). I don't see what the big deal about this man is. He appears like one of the wimpiest men I've seen. Lifeless, uninspiring. He doesn't impress me, maybe somebody can shed some light on why he's even considered.

Gen. Collin Powell (RET). My God, this man is a shadow, a shell of his former self. He got caught up in the Bushes and is pretty much a non-entity now. He lost his crediblity and is no longer considered a man of strength, brilliance, and conviction. No.

I'm still holding out for an Obama/Bloomberg ticket...barring that, Richardson seems like a good choice with what he brings to the table.

John Edwards would be good.

Mark Warner of Virginia would be an ideal choice.

James Henry "Jim" Webb, Jr. (born February 9, 1946) is the junior Senator from Virginia. He is also an author and a former Secretary of the Navy under President Ronald Reagan. He is a member of the Democratic Party.
A 1968 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Webb served as a Marine Corps infantry officer until 1972, and is a highly decorated Vietnam War combat veteran. During his four years with the Reagan administration, Webb served as the first Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs, then as Secretary of the Navy. Webb won the Democratic nomination for the 2006 Virginia Senate race by defeating Harris Miller in the primary, then won the general election by defeating the Republican incumbent George Allen.
Webb's thin margin in the general election (less than 0.5%) kept the outcome uncertain for nearly two days after polls closed on November 7, 2006, and provided the final seat that tilted the Senate to Democratic control. He will become Senior Senator in 2009, if nothing unforeseen happens, as his counterpart, John Warner, is not running for re-election.""""

Webb's son is (or was) in Iraq
When asked by bushy "How's your boy doing?" Webb replied, "That's between me and my boy". He and bush are NOT chummy...

My only objection to him is his Republican-like divorce/remarriage rate...but he also gives a he!! of a speech so maybe that's why he's so popular with SOME women...

I'm a huge Webb fan and I hope his power and significance increases whether or not he's chosen as the VP this year. I'd love to see a President Webb some day, and he's young enough to wait until 2016 or 20 to make that happen. But, I heard something really funny from a woman who said she can't vote for him because ... he looks like a *****, and she just can't vote for that. lol ..

Bill Richardson. Have him go out and campaign for Barak Obama.

John Edwards would also be OK but I'm sure he's "been there, done that" and tired of presidential campaigning.

Jim Webb sounds like a real stand up guy.

We sure do have lots of good possibilities for VP.

Webb would be great- his military experience is a sort of McCain balance. He's had administrative expereience.
I would have loved to see Bill Richardson as the Dem. nominee- I think he's well qualified, but he had no juice, apparently. I don't know what he'd add to the ticket in terms of appeal, but I think he'd be a good choice for ability and possibly being a future president.
