Here's the other side of the big question for Hillary fans.

Some people say that if Obama gets the nomination, they can't bring themselves to vote for him. That's cool. But if that's the case, what are your plans?

In other words, are you going to:
a) vote for McCain,
b) vote for an independent candidate, or
c) not vote at all?

Any answer is fine, I'm simply curious how things will go.

*Once again, Obama fans...try and stay out of this one. I really want to hear what the Hillary supporters have to say.

I'm voting for McCain.

I feel I have a duty to vote so staying home is not an option for me.

If the election were today I would vote for John McCain. That's not to say Obama cannot win me over. We will probably see Obama move to the center when he gets to the nomination which is what I need from him because I'm more of a moderate Democrat.

What I need from Obama is more talking, lol. When he talks I almost like him. The race speech was great. When he's just saying "change" every five seconds he annoys me. More details and I could be open to him.

This should be a poll.

The problem with polls is that people often don't explain their answers. Not that explanations are needed--what I mean is that I want to understand what people are thinking and why.

I subscribe to the philosophy of the democratic party. Call me a yellow dog dem, but I'll vote for Obama. If you check McCain's senatorial votes and record it's clear there's a vast difference between his philosophy and either Hillary or Obama.

It would be helpful if Obama supporters would stop trashing Hillary. You're only alienating people like myself who are willing to vote for Obama if he wins the nomination. Up until the Wright fiasco Obama has been handled with kid gloves by the press while they pile on Hillary. The editorial is not pro Clinton either and chides her for some of her actions.

...Both candidates have been vowing in the last two days to unite the party, and Mr. Obama could do more to rein in his anonymous campaign aides and other supporters who spend their days trashing Mrs. Clinton.

AMEN! Two excellent points, I hope more people take heed. A little bit of trash talk is understandable but ITA that it's gotten carried away. A classic example of the cliche: Don't cut off your nose to spite your face.

I'll be voting for McCain. Not voting isn't an option. I will say, though, that if McCain was a dyed in the wool Republican and not centrist-leaning, I'd take a look at other party candidates.

a) vote for McCain

^^ This is what my boyfriend and I will do in November. And a number of my friends will be doing the same. There's no way we wouldn't vote at all.

I will vote Obama because I can't fathom another four years of a Republican like Bush in the White House. He'll be OK, especially if he chooses Hillary as his running mate
