The question of judgement on this issue of Iraq is not one John McCain wants to answer-especially since Obama was against it from day one.
McCain supported the war, but was blasting its execution from the start. He supported the surge, which is seen by most as having been succesful. McCain will contrast this with Obama's plan - which he won't be able to carry out as planned - and will win that debate.
National defense is where all polls have shown the voters have little faith in the liberal democratic part of the aprty. That goes back to gore and kery even.Look at Obamas campaign and you will see he 90% sticks to the economy because that his the issue of cange. Even Hillary has won over himin national defense.
Hehe. Actually, I watched that speech and felt bad for Obama. The "agent of change" persona just can't hold up under scrutiny. Every assertion he made just seem to add to his appearance as weak. The "presidential look" with chin up and looking off in the distance is worn and he really sounds like a cry-baby.
I really think he just appears too feminine to get elected. This speech played right into it.
I never thought Hillary would seem to be so tough.
No one's going to have to question Obama's partriotism. Wright, Ayers, his wife, the lapel pin, he's had such a calamity of errors with no record to back it up, I don't think his partriotism is even in question... It's non-existent.
Obama is a hard-left liberal in the flavor of CA. I don't think America's going to go for it... As we enter the general, people are going to realize that it's too dangerous to put this guy at the helm.
It's the president of the U.S., for God's sake! and he cries over, at best, an innuendo.
Not a surprise,
Instead of talking about the actual issue, "He looks feminine"(LOL), "he is a hard liberal", "his patriotism is non-existent".
None of the above mentioned criticisms has costed us $600 Billion(and counting) and 4,000+ lives.
Keep deflecting the issue republicans, I understand, its all youve got.
Once the Democrats get their act together and make Obama the nominee, that debate will take place. I'm not sure that Obama will be so happy once it takes place and he can no longer try to connect Bush's policies to McCain.
He doesn't have to try it is right there in black and white. I thought it was funny to see McCain yesterday trying to spin this and today low and behold there is a taped interview with McCain stating that they may have to talk to Hamas. Flip flop, Flip Flop What a joke he is.

You're right that those criticisms do not speak directly to the subject. However, it's like Nixon and his make-up debacle, before you convince people, you have to connect with them. Obama's ability to connect with people-- his superior articulation and timing-- is why he made it this far. However, something else has penetrated the surface... and it's cracked the facade.
He's becoming, IMO, personally repulsive. He throws gutter balls, dribbles too high, calls the "cue" a "white ball". There's church-gate, domestic-terror-gate, bitter-gate, Michelle-gate, flag-lapel-pin-gate, sweetie-gate and now cry-baby/paranoia-gate. Come on, when's it stop? Now, he's even wearing the pin that just makes him looks that much sillier. What in God's name is this guy thinking?
Under all the issues rests judgement. Granted, he voted not to invade Iraq... but why? When everyone else said it makes sense, why was Obama saying it was wrong? Why is he willing to talk when everything else points to a call to arms? It's another angle of his peculiarity. (I want to say "feminine" again, but that would imply something negative about "feminine".)
He's not an oracle who saw Iraq was a bad move. He's a coward who's paralyzed by life/death decisions and seeks to avoid them.
I don't care what the issues are. This guy is spineless. It shows in his refusal to get out of that church, it shows in his flipping on this stupid pin, it shows in how he cries when he might be the topic of a discussion. He is a bona-fide sissy... and you think he's suited to rule this country with what's in front of us?
On the libs best day, you'll find fault with McCain on things like the apparent flip on taxes. However, at the end of the day, McCain's going to kill the bad guys with extreme prejudice while Obama is placating them.
The Chamberlain comment is suited to Obama. He'll give the Arabs Israel to accomodate them.

McCain has been busy trying to connect himself to Bush so he can bring in the 23% who still support Bush.
I'm just waiting for the tape from UBL or Zawahiri to come out right before the election, saying how much they think it would be a good idea to elect Obama (as Hamas did).
You might be waiting a long time. OBL is a GOP supporter. His goal, as he's said and written many times, is to financially destroy us the way the Muhahadeen did the USSR in Afghanistan. OBL doesn't want someone who will end the war. That would mean he'd have to plan more missions in America. It's easier to kill our soldiers in Iraq while bleeding us dry economically.
Granted, he voted not to invade Iraq... but why? When everyone else said it makes sense, why was Obama saying it was wrong?
Obama was not in the US Senate in 2002 when the authorization for use of force in Iraq was put up for a vote. He did make a great speech about it. There were words and all.
