Palin probably does have the ability to serve in Congress.

But quitting her Governorship was only the first of her electability problems; after she quit, everything she did made her look like she wanted to be a media star instead of a politician. She danced. She sang. She played newscaster. She made movies and TV shows.

She moved out of Alaska, came back, then moved out again. And came back again.
I'm pretty sure Palin is more popular down here than up in Alaska.

I think that Sarah could have rehabilitated herself if she had joined some important non-governmental organizations and committees, or something that showed she still had the urge to participate in state government in some unofficial way.
But she didn't.
So why is she so suddenly interested in it now? That's a question I'm sure that's on many minds in Alaska. It makes her look like a carpetbagger, come back because she's burned all her opportunities down in the lower 48.

Alaskans elect Alaskans who stick around and work for their state. The Murkowskis. Don Young.

Young was the longest-serving Representative in history because he stuck to being an Alaskan. Same with Lisa Murkowski- she ran as an independent and won! They didn't keep their seats by becoming famous in the lower 48.

And Palin won't be on anyone's ballot down here. She will have to win over a huge bunch of Alaskan voters who have 50 other choices they can choose from.

Good insights! Her family dynamics really turned out to be troublesome...and of course, the press has not missed a beat in reporting on every mishap that the Palin family fell into.

When you run on a story of conservative family values and then fail to follow those values, well....you asked for it.

What did she failed? She put her down syndrome son above all even at the cost of her marriage and she didn't abort him or gave him away. Sounds like good values to me. The left attacks anybody that has a different ideology than them.

Remember Liddy Dole and NC? Sometimes being a national figure does not mean a person knows what is going on at home or is connected enough to the person's home state.

“I think maybe she left us behind somewhere on the way to fame,” said Sumner, who has supported the candidacy of one of Palin’s opponents since last fall and is not changing his plans. He complained that Palin — who has spent much of the past decade as a right-wing celebrity, bouncing between reality TV, cable news punditry and the Trump movement — hasn’t been involved in Alaska politics since leaving office in 2009.

Reminds me of Obama. He sure made the lives better for the people of Chicago as Senator and President. I’m sure the liberal Bezo’s WP will point that out.
