I suspect he's just being realistic about his chances.

Obama's political team out-organized Clinton - Yahoo! News (broken link)

Add to that this summary of the Clinton campaign and the best organized political team this campaign has been Obama. But no way he is dumb, stupid and is being handled by Al Sharpton. It is a sad commentary on American intellect.

Al Sharpton? What a laugh.

Barack Obama is doing what George W Bush said he was going to do but never came through on. He's surrounded himself with brilliant minds who have a commanding grasp of the issues.

Not psychotic idealogues hellbent on world domination-muhahahaha.

McCain as always said he will be behind and fall very far behind after one of the liberals are picked. He then just need enough time to catch up.

McCain is lagging in organization, fundraising, in reaching out to his base etc?

If anything stinks, its his campaign.

The GOP fundraising hasn't really gotten started yet. And the RNC has raised 10X as much as that inept toad Deans' DNC (how in the world could the dems let this guy run things).

See...as long as the dem primary process go forward, Obama and clinton are spending money battling each other, not the republican.

Just think of how much money they have wasted pounding each other into the dust - setting it up perfectly for McCain.

I think "W" is going out next week to a couple private GOP fundraisers - let's see how much he pulls in for McCain.
