Ah well, better luck next time Dems. We'll see ya in the 2030s if you manage to become viable again.

No Axe. What's "feeding the narrative about (in)competence" is the fact that the President is a senile buffoon, and everything he touches turns to excrement. He's got the Anti-Midas touch, and the crumbling of everything around us is stark evidence of that fact.

And then there's this delectable little nugget courtesy of roarin' Howard Dean:

Holy cow!!! So not only do Democrats now go on the record in what was once the paper of record (a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away) - admitting that their "President" isn't up for the job.

But they are also admitting there is no back up plan - the cavalry ain't coming!

Democrats are inflicting horrible economic pain and cultural malaise on this country; but fortunately that very calamity is also turning out to be their achilles' heel.

Wow!

Those idiot democrats are just realizing this now?

So why wouldn't you put up again a guy who:

1. is demented and can barely communciate

2. created the worst inflation in US history

3. Is creating a huge recession

4. Is creating a huge stock market and housing decline

5. set on impoverishing the nation

6. has created the worst crime in 50 years

7. open borders

8. international chaos with our enemies on the march

9. record gasoline prices

10. The Easter Bunny having to "rescue" Biden

11. The most corrupt president in US history

What's not to like? Are these guys that stupid??????????????

It is the end of the world as we know it, but Biden has not sent any mean tweets, so it's all good in the emotionally fragile minds of the uber leftists who live their lives in fear of Type "A" personalities that they fear will bully them.

That is ALL that matters....proof?...Detroit has a Lib Mayor in his 2nd term, 50 years after Detroit was destroyed by Lib policies.

None of us will ever convince ANY of the follow the hive fearists...they'd rather die afraid & huddled together.

Save the saveable, and throw the rest in the trash.

Of course, Biden has no choice but to say he is running again. If he said he isn't he would immediately become a lame duck. He probably even wants to run again and may even think he is the only Dem that can win.

But, it's hard to imagine him running again. He would be 86 be the end of his 2nd term in one of the worlds most demanding jobs. There is also the issue of his unpopularity. A lot can happen in 2 years, but it certainly looks like we may be heading into a recession. Can he turn around perceptions by the next election?

Unfortunately, for the Dems there is not an obvious successor waiting in the wings. Kamala Harris is the natural heir apparent. Maybe she is the victim of racism/sexism or maybe she is a terrible candidate. But, there remains deep skepticism toward her viability.

Mayor Pete is the establishment's dream candidate, but they can't figure out how push aside the first black women VP for a white male small town mayor turned backbench cabinet secretary. That could tear the party apart. And even then it's unclear how he would fare outside college educated white liberals. Is he going to stop the Dem slide with rural/working class swing state voters or drive up turnout and bring in new voters? My guess is no.

Maybe a governor will emerge or senator like Amy Klobuchar will get a second look, but right now it is unclear who that would be? The most charismatic Dems are too left wing to be viable national candidates.

Right now, it looks like Dems only chance is to nominate Trump and hope his unpopularity is enough to get them over the line to victory.

Sanders is a far left socialist whose Presidency would consist of appointing AOC to be his treasury secretary and purposing unworkable policies that have no chance of passing. The only reason Republicans don't hate him is he is a useful foil to the Dem establishment

I liked Klobuchar but apparently black women Democrats, not a majority in the party demographics but with a large influence in the party’s future, won’t get behind her. And unfortunately she isn’t willing to fight for it or break
away from the Democrats, and instead has to get behind Democrats like Ilhan Omar. If a white woman like Krysten Sinema deviates from the party, she will get censured!

The Democrats should just find a black Muslim transgender that competes in women sports and does drag for hobbies, and find Indian doctor pro science running mate that wants to mandate boosters, masks, social distancing etc. While that might sound extreme, it pretty much the party direction as of now.

Axelrod's gone all in on being anti-Biden. He's a strategist, and the strategists and fundraisers realize Joe's in an incompetent ghost at this point.

Both parties lack fresh faces and different ideas along with those willing to pursue or push them. That being said Biden is the sos regardless of this term. I was stunned when he was chosen for VP and was resurrected to run in 2020. Alot of deals were made to get people to pull out, not run, offer public support etc. Some of those deals/players may come back on Biden and the establishment wing of the Democrats. Hope it does just for change sake. This is another example why third, fourth and fifth parties are needed and/or should be considered viable alternatives.
