She had previously said she would never release her IRS return, on "privacy" grounds.
She can take that tack, but it is also known that she has provided (lent/given) funds to support her husband's past candidacies for public office.
Another way to spin it is that McCain himself is a political protegee of his own wife. His wife's money enables him to play a role as a national political figure, most recently as the favorite to be the candiate for President of the United States from the Republican Party.

I believe Teresa Kerry also loaned her hubby some money, didn't she. I also remember at the time most dems/libs were perfectly fine with Mrs. Kerry NOT releasing her tax returns.
Whoa her lending her husbands campaign has got to be a non issue. So what? Did Hillary lend her campaign money or was it Bill's money or was it their money? It is within the family and I would hope we haven fallen so far in family values that spouses sharing expenses is suspect.
Heinz did release at least some info from her 2003 return.
Quote:
reporting that she paid $627k in federal income taxes on $2.3 million of AGI, primarily from dividends and interest. She received $5.1 million of gross income, $2.8 million of it tax exempt interest income. Ms. Heinz Kerry, who filed separately from Senator Kerry, thus paid federal income tax at the rate of 12.3% of her gross income and 27.4% of her AGI.
From your link; I can see why she only released a portion of her return.
Anyhoo, Cindy McCain released hers as well...so there.
From my standpoint, why is it any of our business of a spouses income records unless they are going to become President and have been elected?
The ketsup lady went berkzerko when people wanted to see her financials, then she only releases what she want people to see.
Yes, a double standard as per liberals ways.
Now, Cindy McCain is a class act, she is a very smart business lady who would add charm and intelligence to the first lady group.
On the other hand the other one would be a total disgrace to the first lady group.
Some are jealous of her success and her being such a first class lady.
6 million, wow she has been extremely successful and I can see why the Obama followers are going after her.
The Obamakins keep attacking and coming up with ZILTCH. How funny is that!
I cna see the Obamakins chomping... chomping.. chomping and trying to find a way to make her out to be a criminal or something, or trying to find ways to steal it from her and give it to the poor.

What if it were a fact that 98% of the funds made available to the McCain presidential campaign originated from his wife? (Her stated income is about 5 or 6 times his.) Would that be relevant for Americans to know? Would that affect your assessment of the viability of his campaign and its foundation for being undertaken? (This is an extreme hypothetical, granted.) That sort of thing is ONE reason why her wealth is legitimately a factor in McCain's candidacy.
Perhaps you don't know that Cindy McCain stole painkiller drugs from a nonprofit that she governed/oversaw. Check it out.
