They are. While it appears a lot of their candidates for other offices will lose to Democrats, McCain is looking stronger than Obama in the polls.

Well, here's the kind of poll that George W Bush won on in both 2000 and 2004. Gore and Kerry for all their strong points lacked what Bush and apparently Obama have as far as likability.
AFP: More Americans would picnic with Obama: poll

According to Rasmussen,
Quote:
Still, the two candidates have been tied or just a single percentage point apart for twelve of the last fifteen days
Rasmussen Reports™: The most comprehensive public opinion coverage ever provided for a presidential election. (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/daily_presidential_tracking_poll - broken link)

I would hardly call that "stronger".

McCain will win. You're a fool if you think otherwise. Aside from the people who won't vote for a black candidate, you didn't put up a very strong candidate to being with. The Democrats decided to go with the Hope/Change message and I'm willing to bet that it will bite them in the end.

Well, the polls just dont say that. And the General Election season is just getting started. Barack Obama is in a great position.

So this year the election is a choice between fear and hope?

I'm quite happy with hope thank you very much.

You can think whatever you want to -- but by the time the Republicans keep harping on Obama's lack of experience -- you'll be lucky if he gets 20% of the vote.

He's opened his mouth a lot on various issues (Cuba, Iran) and all of them have provided a huge amount of fodder for the GOP to take advantage of.

Obama is dumb on foreign policy and diplomacy. Do you understand that? If you don't, you are in for a lesson!!

Im sorry but this is just delusional and really shows poor interpretation of the facts at hand.

If there was anything worse than what's been said, believe me, the Clintons would have pounced on it. There is nothing else and that bodes very poorly for John McCain.

It does however mean that America is getting a President who genuinely doesnt have closet after closet of skeletons accumulated over decades of bad decisions and poor judgement.

Good for us.

Actually,
His approach to foreign policy is fast becoming one of the main things I like about him. Its refreshing and brings us into the 21st century.

Cuba is a perfect example of how 1960s policies just dont work anymore. John McCain doesnt understand that.
