Adolf Hitler could beat Biden.
I had read in The Week magazine, a few weeks ago, Democratic corporate donors are not even considering Biden for re-election, so why is this even being discussed.

Because outside of California, he isn't yet. He is wishful thinking today. Comeback in 2 years.
Update today:

Donald Trump Sr. +250
  • Ron DeSantis +350
  • Joe Biden +650
  • Gavin Newsom +1600
  • Kamala Harris +1600

  • Pete Buttigieg +2500
  • Nikki Haley +3500
  • Michelle Obama +4000
  • Elizabeth Warren +4500

I'm already making bets with family and friends that Gavin Newsom will be our next President in 2024. If Pete Buttigieg joins the ticket, they'll be unbeatable against any opponent.

According to a Youtube video, Gavin has already taken jabs at DeSantis.

TBH- if Trump does not run, Dems need to pray for Cruz or Cotton to get the nod.

The biggest variable is if leftward voters start showing up more often now that they see the Supreme Court really matters.

Biden and most in the party taken jabs at DeSantis and at most Republicans. That isn't saying much. Well, right now Newsom is @ 1600 odds. He is going to need a lot more than taking jabs to be 350 or better. The last 2 Democratic candidates were really White. What color is Gavin? good luck.

Gavin Newsom is a so-called Centrist. Much will depend on whom his VP is. And most likely it'll be a woman.

The Republicans need to pick someone, hopefully younger, rather than DeSantis who I refer to as Trump, Jr. DeSantis' association with Trump may be his downfall.

I can only imagine Newsom arguing with DeSantis?

Gavin: I'm Governor of the 6th largest economy in the world, and Florida? Is FL even in the top 40?

At least you'll be keeping your money in the family. Maybe they will use it to buy you nice Christmas presents.
