Kansas was 1 issue not general election. NY is NY. I explained to you the Republican vote in Alaska versus Democrat voted in numbers which you ignore.

All polls have the Alaska race going red for the general but you rather repeat your feelings.

With her victory, the former state lawmaker will fill the remainder of the term of the late Rep. Don Young, who died in March after holding the state's House seat for 49 years, and is set to become the first Alaska Native to represent the state in Congress.

This is surprising to me with how Red Alaska is. Guess the MAGAS are already getting Trumped in the general
Not to me. Alaska is libertarian. Most of them wouldn't like the Dobbs decision.

It is literally the exact same candidates and exact same format and rules.

How is it possible a democrat won in Alaska.
Donald Trump. There is a not small portion of us Republicans who as a result of Jan 6th see Trump and any of his sycophants as a danger to our nation.

And, yes, the crazy ass extreme abortion restriction laws are a HUGE problem for Republicans.

in 2020 general election 351,982 voted. 2022 Special election only 184,965 voted. Peltola barely won by splitting the Republican vote with 2 Republicans. This is not going to happen in the general. The Alaska GOP and governor will not let this happen. Democrats crack me up.

I think the last Democrat who won this seat in the general was in 1972. We need term limits badly. Young was in office since 1973. I was 2 and now I'm 52. Scary.

Why? it returned the abortion issue to Alaska. Why wouldn't they want to control it. Isn't being libertarian being for less federal government. I doubt they will turn blue to support Biden and his spending bill, corona restrictions and add 87k new I.R.S. agents. They want less federal government controlling their lands and natural resources.

If you think that the christian right will stop with just returning the issue to the states, you are deluding yourself.

I for one am not deluding myself that Alaskans have suddenly turned blue, they haven't. I just think that many of them are sick of Trump and all the clowns in his car. Including Palin.

Are you from Alaska? I was stationed there with the Navy. The Christian right is not big in the GOP in Alaska. The majority of the people in Alaska which are conservatives not liberals will decide how they want to regulate abortions. Why would they hate Dobbs? They finally took it away from the federal government since Roe wasn't popular in Alaska since 1972.
