Sure, I agree you should have a Constitutional right to worms so you can fish for your food.

His is also second to only Lindsay Graham in terms of a need for constant attention.

The interesting race will be if that move hurts them in 2024. I firmly believe the 2000 Presidential election ended up being impacted by the Elian Gonzalez fiasco that hurt Dem inroads with Cuban voters in South Florida.

All that said- Florida is still inching rightward unless women angered by Dobbs vote at some astronomically high percentage.
DeSantis will win Florida by a landslide. The Democrats know that Crist has no chance. And I mean zero chance of beating DeSantis.

What do you consider a landslide? I generally agree that DeSantis will win rather comfortably, but Florida's political dynamics really doesn't lend itself to a landslide.

As of yesterday:

Real Clear Politics has DeSantis ahead 49.2% to 42.2%. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/ep...r/Florida.html

538 has DeSantis ahead to 49.8% 43.3%. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com.../2022/florida/

A lot can change in two weeks (since this thread was started).

DeSantis was never trailing Crist. This is a fake poll. Crist is a reject. He was rejected by his own party, he was rejected for the Senate and governorship and will be rejected again. Instead for him to let new blood in the Florida Democrat party take charge he takes the party hostage. Why is he running again other than getting donations and paying his bills is a mystery.

How does that OP's poll look now that said Crist led by 6?

I predict Crist will lose by at least 10%.

Polls are propaganda.

Like I said, many fake polls out there and they do it for donations. The better the campaign is doing on the polls (allegedly) the more money they get. Pelosi is doing the same thing. She knows damn well the house is gone and she is done and she goes on t.v. telling her base that they will win. Even Colbert didn't believe the b.s. and had a mistrust look.

Would a ten point shellacking in Florida be a "landslide" in your mind? Because that's what it looks like.

Yes, the poll suggesting Crist was 6 points ahead of DeSantis was junk. Meanwhile the current RCP polling average shows DeSantis ahead by 9.2%. Maybe he'll end up winning by even more, and those claiming DeSantis is a conservative rock star will get no argument from me and anyone who accepts reality. Florida isn't buying the Democrat platform or candidates, and Republicans will have the state's 30 electoral votes, Senate seats, governorship and at least 2/3 of its House seats in the bag for years to come.
