It's too bad that the Democratic Party has devolved to this level. Only dementia patients, stroke victims, child mutilators, and post-birth abortionists are left to run for office.

Pretty inevitable. The Democrats have been pushing socialism, high taxes, and other things for years that normal Americans don't really want. They only way they could get votes for them, is to lie about what they were planning, and/or promise vast, rosy results that never quite seem to materialize, and then blame Republican resistance when they fail.

Just a matter of time before their voters started getting wise to them, and abandoning them in droves. After a while (as you mentioned) only the sick, the paranoid, the dregs, and the weirdos are left for them to appeal to. And all the Dems can do is keep making stuff up to get those groups' attention and approval - an increasingly difficult task.

President Trump was the main one who kicked over the applecart for the Democrats. He repeatedly pointed out from the Presidential pulpit that their promises were almost never kept, their schemes almost never worked, and taxes and regulations kept soaring despite their rosy program names that pretended otherwise ("Affordable" Care Act that wasn't, Inflation "Reduction" Act that didn't, etc. etc.). And Trump kept pointing out example after example, for four long years, leaving the Dems unable to refute or even reply to most of it.

And he did the same to their most important ally who had kept them in office for so long: A mainstream liberal press that praised them regardless, failed to mention what their results really were, and covered up their "secrets", crimes, and transgressions. Again, once he started telling the truth about the Democrats in the govt and in the press, it was only a matter of time before their voters started to get wise to them.

In case you wonder why the Democrats hate and fear Donald J. Trump more than anyone since Lincoln freed their slaves, that's why. Not because his hair is orange, or that he sent "mean tweets" - those were just the excuses for all the Dems' hatred, vilification, namecalling, and groundless smears and insults.

And the Republican party has devolved into attracting talk show hosts, white supremacists, election deniers, insurrectionists, and worse. Quite so much better

Neither party can dish up quality candidates these days.

You left out "Republicans are poisoning the air, starving children, and dispossessing Seniors". If you're going to dig up old, debunked Democrat fibs and hurl groundless insults, may as well recite them all, eh?

I would not vote for him based on that alone as obviously the man can't be trusted to think clearly.
He's got that magic letter behind his name - D - and lots of votes in the bag. Really sad what is happening in this country when we can 'elect' Biden to office and someone like Fetterman is on verge of being a Senator.

I'd enjoy greatly discussing certain concerns on BOTh parties currently vying for this election position. But sadly the right has the attention span of a gnat . In one ear and out the other.

Overall OZ entertained in the debate. And yes Fetterman struggled.

Im, not looking for an entertainer though. ANd neither should a voter that cares about democracy

I agree that Mr. Fetterman has not fully recovered from his stroke, if he ever will.

I imagine that it is already being discussed in the governor's office (a Democrat) whom the governor will appoint if Mr. Fetterman wins the election, and then is unable to serve. It appears that under Pennsylvania law, the governor has the power to appoint a Senator to serve out the term, if the elected Senator dies or resigns.

I'm curious what you think about Mr Fetterman's attention span. Can you comment on that?

Oz Odds Of Winning PA Soar After Historic Fetterman Debate Meltdown
https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/dr...ebate-meltdown

The Fetterman campaign may have just watched what remained of its prospects in Pennsylvania circle the drain after tonight's sole debate between him and PA Senate candidate Dr. Oz.

Fetterman, who suffered a severe stroke days before the May primary and cast his vote from a hospital bed, appeared unable to put together nearly a single coherent sentence throughout the entire debate while TV veteran Dr. Oz deftly and "surgically" sliced and diced his way through an hour of questioning, using Fetterman as a lifeless sparring dummy for a majority of the debate.

Recovering from his stroke, Fetterman's answers ranged between somewhat inept and completely incomprehensible. The ugly performance started right from the beginning, with Fetterman bidding viewers "good night" as part of his opening statement.
