I only learned from Zeldin's response today about this:
tweet:

Governor Kathy Hochul@GovKathyHochul

Everyone needs to do their part to combat gun violence. @AmericanExpress, @Mastercard &@Visashould categorize firearm purchases & flag suspicious activity – just like they do for millions of other transactions.
That means legal purchase of guns by law-abiding citizens will be flagged as suspicious. Am sure the homeless man who killed someone with a gun the other day didn't buy his gun with AmericanExpress, Mastercard or Visa.

Yes it certainly will. She also keeps mentioning gun violence in terms of teenagers, but many of these people are severely mentally ill adults with rap sheets a mile long.

Guns or anti gun is a Democrat staple. This is what they have to fall back on because they can't use current economic or crime trends so they will have to default to things like anti gun and pro abortion stances. Pro abortion policy pushing isn't exactly putting their candidates farther in the lead. They have to be careful not to link themselves to national policy ie Biden.

Crime and economic issues can carry many Republicans over the finish line. Just focus on the obviousi-inflation, shortages, crime etc.

Zeldin was not too impressive to me, unfortunately.

I didn’t watch too much because I can only stomach her in very small doses, but while lackluster, I believe Lee did pretty good. I still think he took Mrs. Ed in the 10th by decision.

He did a little better in the last 15 minutes, but he's just unable to articulate how awful she has been. That should be easy. I could have done a better job than he did.

I felt from the beginning that the moderators (or whoever made the question list) were in favor of Hochul. There must be a reason she chose that channel/venue?

Oh the moderators were clearly in the bag for Hochul, based on the questions/topics alone. I just think Zeldin missed an opportunity.
