The Democratic Party’s risky gambit of boosting far-right candidates during the Republican primaries appears to have paid off with most of these candidates losing to Democrats in key battleground states on Tuesday night.

Is this going to become a common strategy now? Will both parties start doing it? What kind of candidates will we end up with? Joe Goebbles Jr. vs Joe Stalin II?

If the candidate wasn't in jail, on trial or convicted of what ever the Republicans should've stood behind them with much more vigor. Too many TDS sufferers in the Republican party. Including the Bushes who funded/endorsed Democrats in numerous races.

Keep in this is as much about keeping the unofficial 2 party system in play. Neither party wants independents.

You can only do this if you've got a lot of money to spend... and the Dem have a lot of money.

So I suspect it will continue.

Such a strategy would never work for the Republicans. Democrats vote for the most radical, extreme, insane, anti-American Left-wing whack-job in the field. They don't need Republicans to do it for them. Who could the GOP find that is left of AOC, left of Fetterman, or left of Bernie Sanders?

Democrats already go for the most exteme Leftist running and then vote for him in the general election.

The guy with the pursed strings ain’t opening it for anybody but himself. They contributed to the outcome.

If you look at VT politics there IS a party to the left of Bernie. When he left that Liberty Union Party he started winning elections. The party changed its name from Liberty Union to Green Mountain Peace and Justice. The baseball player Bill Lee is in that party.
Quote:
Bill Lee, The 'Spaceman', Running For Vermont Governor On Liberty Union Ticket

His most important issue is water.
"I'm a water keepers guy with the Robert Kennedy Foundation. I try to save water. I see the pollution in the earth. I'm really not concerned about my constituents, the people of this state. I think we'll get along fine, but if we take care of the environment it will provide enough jobs that we'll all be in the same boat together and it will be a clean boat and a clean lake."
As for Vermont's opiate addiction problem, Lee blames the designated hitter.
"It formed specialization in America, which formed people that took physical education out of the system. People got fat, people got slow, they don't have don't have their own endorphins," he said.
His solution is to run preschoolers three-quarters of a mile, kindergartners a mile every day before they go to class. He wants to prioritize physical education so kids have strong minds and bodies and can control their emotions.

It's scary to look at but I see a woman named Gloria Estela La Riva in the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL). Here is what one of her positions is:

I call for the shutting down of all U.S. military bases around the world and withdrawal of troops, planes & ships. The money should instead be used for education, infrastructure, healthcare, jobs and housing projects that actually benefit people, including reparations for countries harmed by U.S. aggression.

Great reminder of the tricks democrats played this election season. This should be illegal, as it risks turning our elections into a clown show more than they already are. The left doesn’t care about that or the country, only winning.

Oh Please - it should not be "illegal."

As a sad conservative I say this. Candidate quality is critical.

It is not the D's fault that some crazy Trumpians with bizarre baggage/history won their primaries. I give the D's credit for playing the cards they were dealt.

Further R's must get more diligent about making mountains out of D candidate molehills. If a candidate's history shows they went to grade school detention for stealing a cookie from lunch counter put out a press release saying the were arrested for being a thief. D's do it to R candidates all the time. Sad to say because I really would like to see races about solutions/policy but... people are what they are.
