Here's a question: Why didn't Obama talked about his relatives who fought in Viet Nam?

My opinion: Because talking about a great uncle who fought in WWII makes veterans from previous wars (i.e. McCain) sound old and creaky.

Wouldn't it make McCain sound more creaky if he was talking about an older relative who fought in a war after Vietnam, not before?

I have no idea, but previous poster indicated that Obama saying he had a relative fight in WW2 would make McCain seem old. That doesn't really work, unless Obama's older relative served in a war during or after McCain, if you're going for that angle.
