So, do you think Bob Barr would gain votes that would have otherwise gone to Obama or McCain? Is what Im asking.
Probably not. I agree that most people who vote for third party candidates may have simply not voted at all...those who are willing to vote for what they believe in are principled and *most* times will not settle for the "lesser of two evils".

A third candidate will probably draw some support from both camps. There might even be others that vote only because they support Barr. Are we that accustomed to voting against someone rather than for a candidate?
Can anyone post a link to his platform?
I am concerned with the fact that he has apparently hidden the fact that he is bi-racial for all of these years but I think I may agree with most of what he stands for. I'm not too enthralled with the 3 liberals right now, that's for sure.
He's not my first choice but I will vote for him if it's between him, Obama, and McCain. However, I'm concerned with the lack of ANY plan of what he would do if elected, his site just basically says he agrees with conservative policies.
I think congressman Barr will eventually outline his polices and plans. It would be great if he would end up in the debates with McCain and Obama. Not likely though.
Uh...check that in my last post. If Barr polls around 10 percent he could get in the debates. The interview on Fox indicates that Barr is confident that he can at least poll that number. Certainly starting out at 6 percent is a very good sign.

In a completely ideal and admittedly theoretical world, ALL elected officials would do NOTHING for their entire tenure.
The most effective thing that Barr could do if elected is to withdraw from Iraq first, and then start a systematic abolition of one government agency and executive department after another. Do it in a very organized manner and pay extremely good severance to employees being cut so as not to cause chaos.
ok well Bob Barr WAS my choice if Ron Paul did not end up on the ballot by some Miracle of St. Paul.....
but not now that I found out about his Running Mate. Ugh.
!!!!! Bob Barr's VP Donated to Joe Lieberman and ENDORSED him???? WHAT??? are you kidding? | Ron Paul for President 2008 - Ron Paul Revolution (http://www.dailypaul.com/node/50663 - broken link)
