The notion that one needs to have experience to be the President is ludicrous. The President's staff are among the most educated people around. They advise him on everything from foreign policy to social etiquette. They write his speeches and monitor everything he says and every action he takes.
Furthermore, the only President who has any experience is the one who won the Presidency for the second time. All first time Presidents have no experience being President at all. Even then, experience doesn't mean squat. Our current President is a shining example of that.
What a new President needs is a passion for change and the courage to do the right thing for the country even if it's not the most popular thing.

Being a Govorner is like being a President on a smaller scale. In fact, it is harder in some ways because the states cannot print money and run deficits.
Absolutely or he will get nothng done or will be lead by the nose by thsoe that know the ropes. Wold you hire a guy with no experinece to run your business/

If you all mean Obama, he's a lawyer and a Senator - he knows how Washington operates, he knows the ropes and wont be led by the nose (or the business-indebtedness).
And he has advisors from both sides of "the aisle" right now advising him on the real state of the country and the world, as evinced by his conservatized (?) stance on Iraq for example.
No - the president only needs a politically connected, wealthy, former-president father and a constituency of radical right-wing Christians & neo-con loonies.
or,
Yes - the president needs experience snorting coke, being a drunk, evading his military service, ruining the economy of the nation, creating torture camps, and starting genocidal wars for oil (which now costs $130 a barrel).

Or running a country full of incompotent greedy morons that ran that said countrys economy into the ground.

You mean his ever-changing stance on Iraq? I believe the Republicans call that "being a Shape Shifter." On most issues, it appears he has multiple stances. Which one do you want today?
Or running a country full of incompotent greedy morons that ran the country's economy into the ground.
Yet another perfect description of the George W Bush administration.
