At U.S. News & World Report, a well-organized summary of Scott McClellan: The Story So Far.

[Richard Clarke:] "It's like an echo chamber. I turned on the TV the other day and there were White House people saying he is a disgruntled ex-employee, that he is out of the loop. ... I think there is a little box in the White House that says, 'If anybody escapes from the White House and tells the truth, break this box and take out these talking points...say he is a disgruntled employee, say it is an election year and he is trying to sell books.'"

USNews.com: Political Bulletin: Friday, May 30, 2008

The questions: Will this book, and maybe other tattletale revelations to follow, build and maintain serious negative momentum against the Republicans that will last through November? Will they inspire enough public outrage to spark indictments?

If what he wrote is true, Bush should be impeached.

I don't know if it's going to make a huge difference, they will just repeat the Right Wing mantra on this situation "disgruntled employee, why didn't he say something sooner, he just wants the money, left wing publisher"

No it won't, because McCain is what there is to choose from, sadly. At least if the nation can stay sane enough to get him in over BHO. We are in such deep doodoo....

I know it's sarcasm, but anyone who didn't know they were still running needs to have their voting privileges taken away.

Voting isn't a right and it's not declared unconditionally in the constitution.

I do try to stay in reality, and REALISTICALLY, they are NOT in the running. The race for the WH is between McCain and Obama. Anyone who cannot deduce that, well...

Why would you even bring up Alan Keyes? The guy has become a bigger joke than Lyndon LaRouche...always running for something and always losing.

I dunno...maybe because he's a strict constitutionalist?

But I suppose Bush was right, I guess progressive thinkers like liberals and neo-cons believe it's just a g-d piece of paper.

I agree. At least try to stay slightly informed on who is running.
