Ummmm, to be a little more accurate, the area that would eventually be known as WV was both Confederate and Union. And most of the people who lived there were fervent Independents--they wanted nothing to do with the war at all. WV became part of the Union during the war, on June 20, 1863--less than two years before the war ended. Which means it belonged to the Confederacy several years more than it belonged to the Union.

because backward judgemental people like you are too angry to take seriously..I have been to WV and met some of the finest people I ever came across...their values must work because they have the lowest crime rate in America..go figure

What a pompous thing to say, I went to college and graduate scool and I don't consider myself an "elitist". It is a lot more than going to college. I don't think my opinion or views are any more significant than anyone elses.
