Is there something wrong with the name Hussein? If so, what?

If his name was "Smith", he'd still have to quit his church in order to get to be president

You know, people shouldn't be squeamish about a perfectly fine name like Hussein.

But if they are, all we gotta do is reclaim the H!

All we need is an alternate nickname that starts with an H.
That way, BHO will stand for:

Barack History-maker Obama
Barack High-Intellect Obama
Barack Healthy He-Man Obama
Barack Humanitarian Obama
Barack Hearththrob Obama

Well, if you are a xenophobic hillbilly there is.

Most Americans are not smart enough to realize that there is absolutely no difference between John, Bob, Hussein, Jesus, and Hitler. Just names. Chosen by one's parents before they were born (ok not necessarily 'chosen' in the case of a surname, bit 'given' nonetheless). Nothing else.

It could have been worse...so many people born in the 60's have truly embarrassing middle names.

I guess Barack should be thankful his mother didn't pick "Morning Flower" or "Moon" or "Blue" for his name.

I don't support Obama but the big deal made about his name irks me. Ethnicity, race, gender don't matter AT ALL when choosing a president.

I think normie makes a great point - let these people belabor the Hussein thing right into the ground, the longer the better - until it's so dead and its emergence as an issue so obviously a canard that even they will be embarrassed by having believed in it.

If Obama's name was Smith, he would still be the same bag of hot air and lies, he would still have the same wife with the same nasty attitude, he would still be hooked up with questionable friends (Rezko, Wright, Farrakhan, etc, etc), he would still have the same problem making decisions (the number of times in Senate that he voted "present"), he would still look down on people as clinging to their guns and religion.

Really no difference, just the name.
