Three big races are less than two weeks away and the GOP is favored in all three with the recent polling data. None of the democrat candidates want Biden anywhere near their campaigns and with the democrat party fractured on not supporting Israel, Election Day will soon see the effects on this off-season election.

In 2020, Trump carried MS by 16%, LA by 19% and KY by 26%. No D candidate for Governor in any of those states will nationalize the race by bringing in Biden.
I know Kentucky’s Andy Beshear is pretending like we don’t have a president. He is also bragging about signing bills presented by the Republican Kentucky Legislature, conveniently forgetting all the ones he has vetoed and been subsequently overridden. There have been a lot of those. Kentucky’s governor’s office going Republican, however, is not a given. Beshear, primarily because of that overwhelmingly Republican legislature overriding of his vetoes, has not been able to enact any of the more progressive parts of his agenda and therefore is not as unpopular a governor in the state as he would have been otherwise.

Those are deep red states so saying they are leaning Republican laughable.
Kentucky often votes democrat for governor, like West Virginia. That’s historically. This is 2023. It’s amazing nobody outside those states is even aware of these upcoming elections, primarily because they can indicate changing voter issues on a broader level.
Louisiana already did elect a Republican Governor earlier this month. They have a slightly different set up including a Jungle Primary/Election and then a runoff. Republican Jeff Landry received over 50% so no runoff is needed and he won.
In Mississippi Reeves is very likely to win re-election.
As far as Kentucky goes, if anything it may lean Democratic with Beshear winning re-election at this point, though this will very likely be the closest

Good analysis. The KY race will likely be the toughest although republicans dominate the state. Outside of Louisville and Lexington, many Dems are old school Dems and not liberal at all and can't stand Biden. Logically, Beshear should lose handily but he's a very good actor with a boy scout squeaky clean image and pretends to be everyone's best friend. He can tell you to drink cyanide and some people won't even question it. This election can go either way depending on voter turnout.
Beasher is Biden's boy. When Biden and the DNC tells Beshear to jump, Beasher doesn't hesitate. If Beshear loses, it will be a huge slap in the face to Biden.

"Andy," as he prefers to call himself, even on his campaign signs (because, you know, he's just the boy next door) is ridiculously popular and, I'm afraid, will win by a landslide. This has nothing to do with his actions or policies, although he's far left if not Marxist, so the liberals appreciate those, but simply because he's young and handsome and seems like a nice guy. Middle-aged and older women, especially, are wild for him. "Groupies."

He does have his groupies. He has the highest state popularity rating of any Democratic governor in the nation. I have been genuinely surprised Democrats haven’t tried to bring him to the national scene more. My guess is that, despite your proclamation that he’s practically a Marxist, in most states he’d be considered center-right and he might be too conservative for the national party.
