Jindal Says He’s Not Interested in No. 2 Spot With McCain - America’s Election HQ
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal said Wednesday he does not want to be considered as vice president on the GOP ticket, making him among a growing number of those pulling themselves out of the race.

Wow McCain is using every opportunity to steal the thunder from Obama while he is out of town. Is McCain having a good week anywhere other then amongst posters in this forum?

Let Jindal stay where he is. He is a possible FUTURE star.

We could solve the energy problem by hooking up 2 wires to his brain.

Is this surprising? Didn't he say WEEKS ago that he already had the job he wanted (Governor). Maybe he wants some experience before having the Audacity to enter into the #2 spot?

He has always made it clear that he was happy where he is and wanted to do that job - this is nothing new.

McCain Fights to Yank Spotlight Away From Obama - America’s Election HQ

McCain has plans later in the week to visit New Orleans, reportedly with Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, a potential running mate choice. Several other names are also in the mix.

But on Tuesday, Robert Novak, who earlier reported that McCain might unveil his running mate pick this week, told FOX News that it might all be a ruse to keep McCain in the spotlight. On top of that, reports noted that Cindy McCain is traveling and it’s unlikely a decision would be announced without her by her husband’s side.

According to Fox as of yesterday and they are close to the McCain camp. If he teased and created the ruse then he lives with the decision by Jindal to not be part of it.

He has the job he wants.

I think many understand what ever the next party is in charge is going to take a huge beating for the next 4 years due to previous problems exploding on their term and the dopey American voter will blame whoever the current administration is.

This is one reason why I think McCain was put in place where he is, many understand him to be a RINO so he has the potential to be left open as a scape goat and not doom the party for the next 2 elections after 2008.

No one wants there name to be associated with the next administration, speaking for the republicans and of course, my own opinion.

Petraeus/Jindal in 2012. I like and admire McCain, but he's done.

I like Palin, but she's stuck up there in between Siberia and the Yukon and nobody knows who she is. Maybe that's a good thing though...
