John McCain, while in his 40's, cheated on his wife (who had been crippled in a car accident) and left her for a 25 year-old. His new young wife then went on to become addicted to drugs and stole pills on a regular basis from a charity she had created called the American Voluntary Medical Team.

Cheating is rotten and shows a lack of character. Of course not many agreed with this when it was Bill who was being a dog, but whatever. It still shows a lack of restraint, and a total disregard for the feelings of others.

As far as Cindy McCains past drug use (and Obamas past cocaine use) goes...I would advise you to read 'A Piece of Cake' by Cupcake Brown. Its a powerful book on redemption (not religious) and second chances.

uhmmmm as opposed to Bill and Hillary?
Bill has a long history of cheating on Hillary, sexual harrassment and using his position of power to extort sexual favors from subordinate women. The left seemed not to care one Iota about that. Hillary supported him and his behaviors by not holding him accountable. Not hard to understand why. She wanted to use his popularity to catapolt her into the white house as the first woman president in our history. She is a ruthless and cunning reptile.
Bill and Hillary scammed a fortune from the savings and loan industry.
So whats your point? That politicians need to have a perfect past?
Ideally I agree with you. In a perfect world it would not only be an expectation but the reality.
The reality of our world is simple. Politicians are corrupt snake charming liars and thieves. WE vote for them regardless of their past misconducts and forgive them even their worst of sins.
Example Congress. Poorest rating in history but I bet 75% or more will be re-elected inspite of such poor performance.

John or Cindy McCain have no morals, that has already been established.

The typical Republican Conservative hypocrite wags his finger at Bill, saying we MUST impeach him for the horrible crime of adultery, wasting millions of my tax dollars to chase the story, then Newt has affairs during the impeachment trial, and McCain starts screwing around on his wife soon after she is injured. Both good examples of your upstanding 'Compassionate Conservative'.
Yeah, there is a lot of dishonesty on BOTH sides, but what galls me about the so-called party of 'Family Values' is that they end up being worse than the ones they point their fingers at. Oh, and Bill and Hillary are STILL TOGETHER arent they?

Geez...touchy.
The deal is, you point the finger at McCain don't be surprised that there is an equal number of cheating a holes on the democrat side (helloooo Kennedys!)

As far as Cindy McCains drug use, she reformed and has helped many children throughout the world with surgeries that improve their lives dramatically. America is great in large part because we embrace second chances. Again I would advise you to read 'A Piece of Cake' by Cupcake Brown to gain perspective. Unless you are so wedded to the democratic party that you cannot see, hear or think anything that Obama hasn't approved of.
