Right, cutting taxes does increase revenue to the government. The problem is spending. Only when Congress cut spending (be it by Clinton force) did the budget get balanced. If Republicans held to their cutting of spending we wouldnt be having a $9T debt, then we voted the Democrats in because they said they would cut spending, did they? nope.. so we're stuck with Democrats who spend money on social programs we cant afford, or we're stuck with Republicans who spend money on the military, and yet more social programs we still cant afford.

So now we have 2 candidates running and I'd like to be able to vote for one of them because they understand that we cant afford anymore programs.. unfortunately, I cant.. they are both pandering for votes and not being honest with the american public.

Exactly! The price of gas is just killing everyone yet I've seen ZERO difference in the amount of traffic everyday.

You know, thinking about this, how many couples do you think went out and traded in their SUV's for TWO cars, one for him, one for her, and now they are using twice the amount of gas because they can afford to drive more.
