Well it will be enough of them being released soon, and these jobs should not entice anyone to steal anything from the employer. I think this initiative is great, being that they have difficulties being employed after they have served their time and many were or have been rehabilitated if it was needed. The recidivism rate should decrease if they are given the opportunity to rebuild their lives after paying their debt to society.
The "green" jobs are an expansion of the welfare net. They've been here for a long time. In this way, they'll be paid to be green with envy.
That makes sense. So you say Obama's green jobs is basically giving green to lazy people on welfare? That sounds about right!

I think the Obama "energy plan" is summed up in three parts:
1. Blame Bush for everything.
2. Say McCain is Bush.
3. Say NO to every proposal to end energy slavery.
And of course, hope gas hits $10/gallon, so every peasant will have to ride the bus or drive a Geo Metro while Obama rides in V16 engine powered limos and private jets (with Al Gore).

Exactly correct. He wants to steal from those of us who work hard, earn decent money and give it away to those who wont work, wont obtain any skills, wont do anything to better themselves so they can make more money.
But this is what liberals do, they love to keep people down so they can control them easier.
Obama has a plan, but he NEVER gives the details. He cant because no one would go for his looney tune ideas because of his socialist robinhood steal from us and give to you ideas, he wont exactly tell us much.
Change--- ohh yea, how about making people get a damn job or two or three, or get a skill, go to college for free, heck, welfare scum get free college if they want it, free healthcare, free rent and they sure can sit around on their fat butts why couldnt they go to college for free?
The change we need is for the non working, non successful people to pay their fair share of our taxes, most of them rent, no taxes, most of them are on welfare, no taxes, most of them only pay a small tiny portion of a paycheck working at McDonalds into the tax base. This is the change we need, we need to redistribute by forcing the ones not pulling their weight into pulling their weight.
Its time for change, time for the lazy bags to pay their way and stop sucking off the rest of us.

I believe the new green jobs will be to pick up all BS that comes out of McCain and Obama's mouth. There is no change it's more of the same from both the liberals and the neo-cons. More Socialism and more Wars same thing we have been having since 1991.

Does ANYONE know WHAT are the "millions of new green jobs" that Obama promises???
He keeps trying to sell this, except he does NOT say WHAT jobs these would be (what would these people do, what kind of training do they need, etc), HOW these jobs will be created (private investment? foreign capital? government?), WHERE they will be created (could be in China, for all we know!), and WHO will create these jobs (government? corporations)?
Finally, WHY would we need millions of people working on (unknown 'green jobs')???? We don't even know what a "green job" is!?!?!
Does anyone have any clues??? Or is this just another Barack Obama ploy??
