The way things look today, Obama would be better advised to fight for some honest appointees to his cabinet. Leave the trivia for later.

Many of these posters either did not take government or civics or did not listen.

The Courts interpret the Constitution. It is part of the checks and balances to assure that the Legislature does not pass laws that are unconstitutional. The difference between liberal and conservative courts is whether they interpret the Constitution in a broad manner or a strict manner. Just like Nazarenes and Methodists are different in how broadly or strictly they interpret the scriptures.

Man what people don't understand is we shouldn't have been able to vote on whether or not gays should be allowed to get married. It has nothing to do with our lives and does not affect us. Its like if the nation had a vote on whether or not we were allowed to get swastika tattoos or be neo nazis, or course everyone would vote no, but thats not what this country is founded on. We are a free nation where the majority has no say on the minority.

Great point. Of course, there are some among us who are not at all worried about the government taking away our freedoms. They think it's trivial.

What a wild-eyed radical idea. THEY MUST BE STOPPED!!!
The obamas are full of crap, first of all. They sat in church and advocated all sorts of racism and discrimination for 20 years. They are elitist hypocrites and liars, not that this is a surprise.

Additionally, you are missing another key point here. Marriage is between a man and a woman. Period. It has nothing to do with discrimination. There is no such thing as gay marriage. Hey, if a gay couple wants to share a life, insurance etc. go for it. Just don't dare call it a marriage because it is not and could never be.

Life must be hard for you. How are you going to get along when gay marriage is finally legalized? Are you going to stubbornly insist on not calling it "marriage?" Like Archie Bunker refusing to realize that he's a dinosaur.

What a ridiculous thing to say. Life isn't hard for me. It's actually rather easy once you understand the difference between right and wrong. Perhaps it's hard for you because you don't get this distinction? Again, to reiterate, gay marriage does not and will not ever exist. Marriage is between a man and a woman only. No question or confusion about that. Hope things get easier for you real soon.

Gay Marriage exists in Canada, and other countries. Christianity doesn't have a monopoly on marriage and morality. Right and wrong is subjective.
