McCain: Obama's word cannot be trusted - CNN.com

I'm sorry if this has already been posted - I scrolled through the first couple of pages but I didn't see anything similar. I'm not so much concerned that he says Obama can't be trusted but that he's saying he can.

Quote:
McCain said, "I take difficult positions sometimes. Mitch will tell you, I'm not elected Ms. Congeniality every year in the United States Senate. But the fact is that I'll keep my word to the American people, and you can trust me."
I was just wondering how others feel about McCain in general; there are so many anti-obama threads McCain gets lost in the shuffle.

Oh and those hecklers were completely tacky

Its all fair, the McCain hating threads get lost in the Republican bashing, GWB bashing, and Obama love threads...it all balances out in the end.

Yeah okay thanks but what I was looking for was peoples general feelings about McCain. I mean reading the article he is basically saying "I'm not always popular because I stand by what I believe in, even if it doesn't align with the rest of my party"

I've heard smatterings of McCain going against party lines, but I like I said I haven't really heard much opinion about him and his policies, so that's what I'm looking for.

I think if he would give up on this whole misguided war thing his policies would be easier to swallow. Overall though he has almost as many flaws as Obama.

McCain says Obama's word can't be trusted

he's right.

obama has flipped on so many issues. no one knows where he stands these days...including himself.

i have to rely on the obama moonies. they seem to know exactly where obama stands on issues...even the ones he doesn't know about.

How can you trust someone who has been caught lying over and over again? You cannot!

He has flip flopped more then my waffles at Dennys were.

The only ones who turst him are those who need their hands held because they are insecure about themselves and need to be reassured.

Liar liar Obamas pants have been on fire!

And yes.... he was at several of Wrights speeches when he spoke hateful things about whites, another lie covered up.

When is this man going to ever tell the truth?

Nobama 08 is a phony tax monger who really cannot be trusted.

Okay once again - I am asking "what is your opinion of John McCain and his policies? Do you believe that his word can be trusted?"

I am not asking about Obama. I am not asking about Cindy. I am not asking for cheers from the elementary schoolyard. I am asking for opinions about John McCain.

I think he can be trusted, the problem is that I dont like the things that I trust he will do.

Yeah, almost everyone I know who is opposed to him is saying the war is their biggest concern but I've heard that he's flip-flopped on a couple of issues as well, which is why I thought it was very bold of him to say Obama's word can't be trusted. I'm wondering if he just opened himself up for a bunch of "well that's not what you said before"

Also, I think people's main problem with the war is the amount of money being spent over there. There seems to be this grand idea that once the war is over millions of dollars will be funneled back into the US economy, but we all know that's not true.

Thank you for answering the question.

I think you mean pancakes, as waffles are cooked in a waffle iron that cooks both sides at once and requires no flipping whatsoever other than maybe the removal from the iron and placing it on the plate.

Maybe you were implying that Obama has done little to no flip flopping, in which case you would be correct with that analogy.
