Not surprisingly you missed the whole point of the ad. The ad was not about Obama at all--or about Britney and Paris, for that matter. The ad was about the cult of celebrity and, at bottom, about America's fascination with celebrities no matter their lack of substance. That cult has made Obama a celebrity and that is enough for some (actually a lot of) people to jump aboard the bandwagon. When America turns to celebrities for its candidates we're in serious trouble. The little game you want to play doesn't work precisely because McCain is not a celebrity.
