This is a horrible story, if only from Elizabeth's Edwards' point of view. And it is a private story and I, for one, am not interested in the salacious details.
HOWEVER . . . as w/ all stories involving high powered execs or politicians, the thing that makes the behavior possibly "criminal" - and indeed, worthy of close scrutiny, is the money trail. Follow the money. John Edwards' personal hanky-panky is of no interest to me . . . half of the married citizens of this country have been divorced (or will be) . . . but hanky panky w/ donations and campaign finance funds??? Ohhhhhhh . . . yes indeed . . . that is something we all deserve to have investigated and addressed.
It may turn out that everything that was paid to Ms. Hunter was legit, at least - on the surface. If she did work and submitted a valid invoice . . . then that meets the letter of the law. But does it pass the sniff test? Naaaaaaaaaaahhh . . . don't think so.
And therein lies the story.
