Uh-oh, he got defensive. That's actually a losing position because (1) a single order for 20,000 books is pretty obvious, and (2) both "sides" do it, as poynted out in the excellent Poynter Online link blacknight04 provided. Although the right wing does it a lot more (they have to), he should have worked out a shoulder-shrugging response using that.
